Who it's for
The New Balance 998 Incense Sandstone on sale captures everything that makes the 998 such a cult favorite — precision craftsmanship, timeless shape, and earthy tones that feel effortlessly premium. There’s an art to how New Balance mixes texture and tone, and this Incense Sandstone colorway proves it. Soft suede overlays in light tan blend seamlessly with creamy mesh underlays, creating a balance that feels elevated yet easygoing. It’s one of those pairs that just looks expensive, even if it’s currently marked down. Underfoot, the ABZORB midsole does what it’s famous for — plush comfort and subtle bounce with every step. The ride feels stable but never stiff, the kind of underfoot feel you don’t appreciate until you go back to something less refined. Made in the USA, this 998 keeps New Balance’s tradition of quality alive, down to the perfect stitching and weighty feel of the sole. You know you’re getting something that’ll age gracefully. What’s cool about this colorway is how it adapts. It’s light enough for summer but rich enough for fall fits. I’ve worn similar tones with oatmeal sweats, stone chinos, and even pleated linen trousers. It always works. The New Balance 998 Incense Sandstone on sale also taps into that quiet luxury vibe — subtle, neutral, and timeless in a way only NB can pull off. At $146.99, this isn’t just another sneaker pickup — it’s an investment in everyday style and comfort. The 998 remains a masterclass in understated design, and this Incense Sandstone edition might just be the cleanest one yet.
